From 2014-2016 Louise studied a Postgraduate Diploma in Composition at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance graduating with distinction and supported by the Trinity College Scholarship, Trinity Laban Student Hardship Fund, Music Student Hostel Trust and Henry Wood Accommodation Fund. Her teachers included Gwyn Pritchard, Errollyn Wallen, Stephen Montague, Edward Jessen and Deidre Gribben. In 2015 she was awarded the Radcliffe Trust Scholarship to study Composition and Multimedia with Kathy Hinde and Matthew Fairclough at Dartington Summer School.
Seeing composition as an ongoing journey of experimentation, exploration and discovery, Louise composes music in a variety of styles from classical to electronic for different mediums; theatre, film and concert. Commissions have included The Golden Hinde (brass dectet c.a. 8’00”) premiered November 2014 at The Chapel, Greenwich and In the Vanishing Glow of Twilight (chamber ensemble c.a. 8’00″) finalist in the Daryl Runswick Composition Prize premiered in The National Portrait Gallery March 2015, London. She has worked on projects with Vale Brazil, Jardím Movel, Neirin Jones Cinematography, the Ravenscroft Saxophone Quartet and Animate Orchestra.
