  • Description: A piece written for guitar and recorder ensemble inspired by M.C. Escher’s paintings and which features looped motifs from Pachbel’s Canon and Bach’s Air on a G String alongside extended techniques to explore colour and timbre transformation.

  • Description: Orchestral piece written as part of the Trinity Laban orchestration class led by Stephen Montague, inspired by and dedicated to my grandfathers who both served in WWII.
    Instrumentation: [2.2.2.2, 2.2.1.0, timpani, percussion, harp, strings (6.5.4.3.2) with doublings]

  • Description: Chamber Choir piece using text extracts, from single words to phrases, from Brazilian poet Oswald de Andrade’s seminal ‘Manifesto Antropófago’ (1928) (Cannibal Manifesto) as translated by Leslie Bary.

    Performance: A commission, performed by Trinity Laban Chamber Choir at the Chapel, Greenwich, 2016 as part  of the Brandenburg Choral Festival London.
  • Description: Sambalism is a minimalist solo percussion piece for Tom -Toms and jungle sounds. The piece begins very minimal and gradually the samba rhythms are built up.

  • Description: Piece for string quartet exploring extended techniques inspired by Stanley Kubrick’s 1960 film of the same name.
